| Arcade Fire – No Cars Go Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| I first want to say I love this song with all my heart, makes me cry, and it gives me deep inspiration, hope and many wonderful feelings. I saw Arcade Fire in concert and heard No Cars Go live - it was a religious experience. Now to my interpretation: I believe this song is about death. Specific Lyric: "Don't know where we're going". I disagree it would relate to the place you go to where it's just your mind and thoughts. When it's just me and my thoughts alone, it's a different mindset and zone - and I know where I'm going in order to come out of that zone back to reality. I use my imagination a lot, and with imagination, anything is allowed. So that is why I believe this song is about death. This song to me speaks of the unknown, what we don't know of when we die. Regardless of what one chooses to believe concerning death, it is an undisputable fact that we don't know what will happen when we die. It seems to me perhaps Win and Regine maybe have a belief in heaven? Win has a degree in religious studies, per Wikipedia. Just my opinion that they do and here is why - no one knows where heaven is or if it even exists. With science, we clearly know there is no evidence of heaven existing. However, if heaven did exist, there would be no cars, planes, ships and space ships. Although with science there is no proof of heaven, science also doesn't have all the answers. There's many beliefs concerning unanswered questions by science that one can easily Google or research at the library. So let's say for example, we are released into the air as energy matter when we die or whatever -- then are we still on earth? Or do we vanish completely? Some also believe we will just be dead in the coffin and that's it - that's still earth where there are cars, planes and ships. Or if it's the belief that our energy matter will be released into outer space, there are nasa space ships up there. The lyrics say no spaceships. Regardless of beliefs, if we vanish completely or if we believe in heaven, I believe the song relates to death and personally, I believe they are referring to heaven. Lyric: "Between the click of the light and the start of the dream." | |
