| The song is reference to both the Celtic vegetative diety symbolising rebirth in Spring, and Peter's alias by the kids in the city park that he worked in. He seemed rather fond of the colour green in general and usually donned green shirts, hats, basses and basses with green hardware & frets. Green was usually the theme colour for lighting and backrdops of TON's stage sets. The TON logo is green. Every TON album has green on album cover artwork, except for Bloody Kisses which has green text on the back and green labels on the vinyl. R.I.P. Green Man. | |

A repeating theme that appears in a lot of Morbid Angel tracks, conjuring ancient deities, demons and spirits (which Azagthoth mostly pulled from from the Simon Necronomicon book written in the 70s) to enter the physical realm, usually to rid the world of Christianity. The film "Evil Dead" explores this subject in an groovy horror flick kinda way. I thought of the beast at the end was probably Yog Sothoth, aka the key and the gate. "Infant entrails are hung upon the twisted cross" - human sacrifice required to appease this deity in exchange for knowledge, or whatever. It's all fiction kids, but keep away from that book, it's trouble. |
