Is it just me or like can you see it being about polyamory cause i personally relate to it in that sense. Like i relate it to my own polyamory. With the line "I wake, at the first cringe of morning And my heart's already sinned How pure how sweet the love beneath it yeah" kinda makes me think how people say that its wrong to be polyamorous or in a polyamorous relationship but to me its just sweet love. So me loving more than one person would be the "my heart's already sinned" And for me the line "And so I fall in love just a little ol' little bit Every day with someone new" woild relate to how i keep falling in love with people and i love different people a little more each day. And the line "Love with every stranger, the stranger the better" relates to that with i love people for being themselves (differnet weird strange) and the more themselves they are the better cause i fall in love with them as a person a little more. "You knew who I was with every step that i ran to you" is when a lot of people get upset when you dont give up being with other partners for them. Cause they knew who you where and that i wouldnt give that up for them. " There's an art to life's distractions To somehow escape the burning weight The art of scraping through" Reffering to loving people to distract you from life and to help you scrape through life. "Would things be easier If there was a right way, honey there is no right way" Like relating to there really isnt always a right way to love like loving one person isnt anymore right than loving more than one or the other way around. Idk i just felt it reminded me of that personally. I feel like it could have many different meanings. Thats just my take on it |
