My interpretation: This song is about someone whom after the end of the relationship looking back and coming to terms with the end. "Search for the answers I knew all along" They are analysing the relationship and what happened and realising that they always knew but perhaps ignored what was going on. "I lost myself, we all fall down" They were so consumed in the other person that they lost themselves and thus the relationship fell apart. "Never the wise of what I've become, alone I stand a broken man" They didn't see themselves changing and now they stand alone with what is left of who they are, they view themselves as broken. "All I have is one last chance, I won't turn my back on you" They try to fix things in the relationship "Take my hand, drag me down. If you fall then I will too" Basically this meaning that the other person is dragging them into a toxic relationship. But, they would follow them because they love them. "And I can't save what's left of you" They realise that the other person is not going to change. "Sing something new, I have nothing left" He realises that the same excuses or lines are being said to him, he has nothing left to say anymore because he is tired of hearing the same thing. "I can't face the dark without you" Two meanings 1. This is the line the other person keeps saying to him 2. Because he feels he has lost himself, he feels he does not know how to cope without the other person being there anymore. He's changed so much that he has become dependant on the other person to survive how he has become. "There's nothing left to lose. The fight never ends" 1. Again the other person could be arguing that there isn't anything left to lose so he should stay. 2. He feels like they keep having the same fight "I can't face the dark without you, stay with me, there's nothing to lose" eps being said to him every time he tries to leave "Swallow me under and pull me apart" He falls back into the depths of the relationship, his identity is being pulled apart again. "I understand there's nothing left" He feels that there is no point fighting anymore, he's completely lost himself. He gives up. "Pain so familiar and close to the heart" The relationship is so painful that it's almost more comforting than being alone because the feeling is more familiar than being alone. "No more, no less, I won't forget" Again talking about the pain staying constant and how he will never forget how it feels. "Come back down, save yourself. I can't find my way to you" Here I think he is talking to himself, trying to get himself out of the relationship and find himself again. But he doesn't believe he can ever go back to who he was before. "And I can't bare to face the truth" He doesn't want to believe the pair ion he is in, he knows he is suffering but he doesn't want to admit it. "I wanted to forgive" He is finally out of the relationship and he wants to forgive the person for what they have done. "I'm trying to forget" But instead he would rather forget about the relationship. Or trying to forget the person who he was before. "Don't leave me here again" The line the other person used to try and get them back. "I am with you forever, the end" The memories of the other person and the relationship will haunt him for the rest of his life. "Holding the hand that holds me down" Such a beautiful line about being with someone that is only hurting you. "I forgive you, forget you, the end" He tries desperately to forgive and forget and move on. At this point he is trying to convince himself that he has done this. ---------- I know it was long and this is my interpretation, this is what the song means to me specifically. |

| This song to me has a few different meanings. The main one being this song is about Laing a child before it is born, the couple slept with each other in the moment and did not use protection. "Once again we lost all control to love" now this is where the meanings split off. The singer is either talking about the girl despising the child and having an abortion; therefore calling it Lilith meaning evil. Or it's about the girl having a miscarriage and not getting over it therefore the guy resents the child as it has brought the girl so much hurt so he calls it evil. | |

| To me this song implies someone being lead on. "Stay for a while, stay cause you make me smile" these are the words that are being said to them to make them feel wanted. But the singer now knows they have been deceived and lied to. To me this would be someone who is seeing someone and that person not committing to a serious relationship and only seeing them when they want. | |
