| The Stone Roses – I Wanna Be Adored Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| My understanding of this song and the lyrics to it have always been about one selling oneself to the Devil. "I don't have to sell my soul, HE's already in me." What he means is that he's already sold his soul to the Devil. He doesn't have to sell it, because...well, that happened some time ago. Why do people sell their souls to the Devil? Because they want to be adored, loved, admired by everyone. There are people who would trade the life of a rock star while they're on Earth for an eternity in Hell. That's what the song is about. | |

| This song is about the rampant cost of healthcare in modern USA. He pokes fun at doctors throughout the song and then screams, "Boys are dying on these streets!" It's not too hard to figure out. | |

This song is not about what most of y'all think it is. The second verse: I'd like nothing more to do Than to watch the desperation on your face I might send you straght to hell Like it's worse to end up in this place Take a look at this verse. This isn't about someone who he's recently met. This is about someone who he's known for a long, long time. A live in girlfriend, who he's fed up with, who he realizes was a huge mistake. He says, "and you would get a snorer, to share your last hour(a line which smacks of his intense want to leave her), "you sure picked a winner...etc." This song is about the boredom, the familiarity which couples experience, and the enmity which derives from being stuck with someone you know you should never have met. |
