I think this is about truly understanding why you believe a particular opinion whether it be political or spiritual or whatever. If you can't defend your point then why do you believe it? It's about really thinking something through before you express it. Do you still feel that way when you "face the other side"? If you can't you'll " be taken for a ride". When it comes down to it, its you who will " face what you decide."
So many people identify with certain views without really thinking them through. And for some people there opinions define their identities, and so challenging their opinions, is a insult to their identity. So if you really understand why you believe them, there's no issue, but if you don't, " I can't fight for what you began, but I know what's inside for you again, and that self reflection, you will face what you decide. |
