| I was thinking the same thing about how this song lyrics a very melancholy feel they must have been written after Chi's accident, BUT I just saw an interview called Sccuz meets Deftones and they talk about the making of each album from the making of self tiled album to saturday night wrist. They where together but they where having some issues they really didnt get to see eachother as a whole band in the making of this two albums they had a rought tour and they called this the dark days. So after saturday night wrist was written they made up and they where really happy and excited to be back as a band and ultimately to have gained back their friendship, so at this time they are writting Eros Chi is still there well and a life and I think this song is about all of the band memers been together because remember they have just came out of the dark days. Then they where half way into the record and then Chis accident happend and they completly stopped the making of Eros and they moved on to Daimond Eyes. I completly agree with the idea that Chino Moreno would not change the a single thing about the songs specialy if it was the last thing that Chi got to be a part of. "We move together We cruise together til the end" its pretty clear that they have been together traveling together in their tours. "Shooting and screwing our way out" I think that this refers to the dark days when they where screwing around making their way out of the band by doing so, not making the effort to seen eachother as a whole band. "You wanna know what is like then watch this" Chino said at the interview that he wanted to play the guitar but the guiarist said that that was his thing he wanted to be the only one doing it and Chino was like watch this you think I cant do this then Let me show you. "You wanted this welcome to my world" The band members are saying we want to be part of the band and Chino is saying that he was to as well."Do you want to do it again" and "Do you want to feel it again " is what they are asking them selves do you want to be in the band again do you want to feel the thril of the fans. "Smile your born again" Chino said that this was the time when the band came together ones again and their smiles on all of the band members where back again, and as in "your born again" its refering to the band they are starting fresh again. "We've selled through hell know" We passed through some really though times "They sank, but we float on" many bands have broken up after going through rough times, but come back together and moved on as a band. "Do you feel loved" band members are asking them selves you feel loved appreciated as part of the band. "You wanna go for a ride its over" you want to keep screwing around then its over your out. "Do You feel weat" I gues that this mean are you feeling overwhelmed. "You always said you knew my worth" Band memeber said that they knew that been part of the band was a big deal but during the dark times they really didnt take that much into consideration. "Its me and you together until the end" They made up and together again. "Smile your born again" Chino said that this was the time when the band came togeter again and they where having fun ones again and smiles on all of the band members where back again, and as in "Your born again" its refering to the band they are starting fresh again they are reborn again. When I Heard This Song Right After Watching The Interview It Made Me Really Happy Empowerment Know That This Song Was A Very Special Point Of Reflection For The Whole Band To Be Back Together And The Whole Melancholy Feeling Went Away It Just Made Complete Since I Love This Song Chi's Accident Was Right After. I Find It Really Disturbing How People View It As A Sex Song Its Really Horrible Its Like Dode Your Way Off. | |
