This song describes exactly and spot-on the situation I'm in right now. The more i fell in love with this one girl that I'm sorta dating, the more I recollect memories from the late 90's and especially this song. Hardest part is that we both know she's as close to being my soulmate as possible, and then she sleeps with some jock-jerks every weekend, some of them my friends. When she's hungover the next day, she comes to me looking for hugs and maybe even score some more. Then we have amazingly intelligent, almost beat-poetry like discussions about the world and share our lives for a little while. And repeat the scene next weekend. Despite being a nymfo and manipulative asshole, she's also an incredibly intelligent (and a little bit disturbed) person who's definitely taking advantage of me. But I'm just a sucker with no self esteem, and I ain't gonna never let go of her, because I'm almost sure that this is the one. Open relationship, here I come! |
