@[keetrainchild:12510] That's a very good analysis you've made of the opening to the song, which begins with "I see...". I would like to hear the composer's own interpretation of this song, why it is they see what they see and when do they see it happening - the mention of a near revival seems to indicate their dream/sight of something in the near future, but is the same true of the content in the first 2 verses, which has echoes of Isaiah chapter 30 ? This song is all a bit ethereal to me, how can you sing it with it conviction if it's not clear what you're singing ? I don't mind spending time interpreting Scripture, but I do I really have to spend so much time working out what it is I'm singing in church as well ? |
