For me it's about not wanting to or being honest about being scared to show your true thoughts and a lot to do with that awkward and frustrating realism of always walking away from a moment or memory where you (insert afterthought) wished you'd just been honest and gone all in! A lot of ego involved too, but as always his words leave you wondering if he knew what he was doing and he'd hoped you would think that. Very few song/lyrics have ever made me replay over and over so I could work them out. The very fact this was one of a very limited few over the last few years proves this guy's telnet! Well done that man, plus her voice is mesmerising! :) |
