| Them Crooked Vultures – Gunman Lyrics

I think its about gunman himself killing people for no reason and being told its not okay. His 'bloodshot eyes' means he wants to kill. The song talks a lot about how clever people wont have any influence on him, so trying to convince him to stop wont help you. His violence is never-ending, and when he is forced into therapy (second refrain) he tries to stop for a second, but his urge is too strong. To himself hes a hero, while in reality he is a psycho. At the last refrain he has heard everything already, so punctuating the thing that has already been said so much wont do anything. At the end gunman is certain he wants to live in ignorance and de-evolutionize himself. |

I think the song is about pedophilia and how the child still thinks he's "free" and "being loved". The album already talks a lot about the relationship between father and child, and hideaway would be the worst nightmare for a father where the child doesn't even want to come back. |

Just like love illumination, it sounds too happy and inviting while there's still some dark story behind it, and the ending of this song sounds too insane, like some kind of voices in his head. |
