In my opinion, and I am really sorry in advance to all those people who won't like what I will say. The song for me is about coming out to my family. The isolation is me and my feelings all bottled up inside with no one to confide. (Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know Well, now they know) I didn't want anyone to know so I had to keep it to myself. But I finally did it, I told everyone. "Now they know". I don't care about what people say I let it go. And (the cold never bothered me anyway) is just how I feel now that my father is very cold to me, he doesn't even speak to me but sin I have the love of my brothers and sisters and specially my mom, it doesn't bother me at all. Now I'm living alone, I can be me, and all those feeling are behind me and like the song says they really seem small. This is how I like to look at this song, a song that shows how good it feels to finally be who I want to be, not what everyone wants me to be. |
