| Radiohead – Weird Fishes/Arpeggi Lyrics | 9 years ago |

I love how the instrumentals are kind of like a video game (Mario 64) of being underwater. That's what it reminds me of. I believe this is a love song< as Thom Yorke loves writing love ballads: "In the deepest ocean, bottom of the sea, your eyes, they turn me." : In the depths of his heart, she has awakened something in him that no one else has before. "I'd be crazy not to follow, follow where you lead.": He is afraid, but he has to see where it goes with her, or he would regret it forever. "I'd follow to the end of the earth and fall off": He is willing to lose everything to see where it goes with her. "Yeah, everybody leaves here, if they have the chance, and this is my chance": When anyone is fortunate enough to feel this deep and intense love, they take the chance, and this is mine. I won't lose it. "I'll get eaten by the worms, and weird fishes.": He dives into the unknown. It is unclear to the audience whether he ends up happy with her or lost and alone because it did not work out. He is a deep writer, and his lyrics are up for interpretation, I believe on purpose, so that we can all take from it what we need. |

@[huddy:12307], so I see this is an old comment. But i read it while feeling nostalgic and listening to bloc party (and smoking some very good weed), and your theory did blow me away! i teared up a little and felt compelled to look up the blue light initiative in big cities. I think your friend hit it right on the nose. I found a chatroom for heroine users, and they refer to the ones who are far gone and full blown addicts as "blue lighters". WOW. So beautiful. I fell in love with this song even more. |
