This song is completely a song about escaping a relationship that was emotionally shackling. Living with someone who sought to control one's every thought and move and finally breaking free. The moment I heard this song I could completely comprehend the meaning. I guess having been in such a relationship and being able to extricate myself from its grip and now watching someone I care about trying to escape such a situation, I can only surmise that this song sums up the terror of living with a control freak! |
