So what I got from this is that: Its about a girl who wants affection, to feel loved; she doesn't care if the person isn't perfect or even if the affection that she gets is genuine. Perhaps she met someone (or is with someone: fwb) and she knows all they want from her is sex and she's willing to go through with that just to feel like some one loves her. "When you turn off the lights I get stars in my eyes Is this love? Maybe someday" I think this part is basically like when she's in the fantasy and she knows it isn't real but some where deep inside she is hoping that maybe... just maybe it could be something Towards the end of the song reminds me of the morning after... She knows it wasn't real and that the fantasy is over, she's all alone again hence: "By now it's only in the morning Now that I gave you what you want All I want is to forget" |
