i feel like this song is definitely about trauma, the ugly things you did at your absolute worst to keep yourself alive, and how no one else will ever understand those things so you have to carry them alone. this song is painfully lonely also, "sleeping bodies" and the murder implications of "bloodbath" suggest to me that the other colonists were less dead and more in some sort of coma, cryogenic sleep maybe |
