Wow. Way to pluck the low lying fruit. Not only did you basically parrot what I said, but you self righteously declared you opinions as, ahem, "immaculate". Semantically, all opinions are immaculate. So, what are you getting at? Is a jesters cap an essential part of your daily outfit, or are you just so ignorant to the fact the it's all so very subjective? I think you are a tool. That's my opinion. Immaculate or not, I give give two shots. Go forward thinking "silly" is a valid way to describe anything. @[PairOFish:11418] just read your first comment again and it still pisses me off. There are two types of people that n the world. Those who "get" ween, and those who don't. Those who get it, don't refer to any of their work as silly. That's a a subjective label someone has to imply upon it. Just you saying you like their "silly" stuff is an insult unto the work that goes into creating and recording. Every song is serious. Abstract, yes. Isoteric, yes. Obscene, yes. But serious nonetheless. I'd love to see you keep a straight face while writing and producing the catalogue ween has. And the best adjective you've got to describe a concept bigger and most people can understand is "silly"? It's bigger than silly. Conceptually it's bigger than words. I don't think you "get"it. You probably think Mr bungle is noteworthy.....or palatable. You probably wear culottes and eyeliner, and Cary a half-hour everywhere you go cuz you're "always ready to party". It's about a guy who is slowing realising that he has nothing left to give (either to himself or a partner) and impowering himself through the song. It's starts slow and meek like he's figuring it out as he goes and explodes with unapologetic passion and the end. Classic "I'm done" Beautiful This song totally helped me through my last breakup. |

| I'm half kicking myself for even looking up a site the lets random people explain what they get from lyrics, especially any ween song. Speculation only goes so far, and it's a sad thing to see alot of you blatantly assume these songs are all about drugs. Fools. All you really need to do is listen and you have an opportunity to experience something special. Why do drugs and spirituality have to be separate? That's a question for all those who need such a simple answer as " that song is about drugs". If the only way for you to classify ween to to assume it's all drug induced nonsense, then why would you think that you like it? It's a much larger concept than that. I relate to it as being about realising that we make our own path. We get to choose who tells us where we are, therefore we are exactly we are all the time.
