@[cyruskh666:10704] I agree with the fact the general story is about broken relationship. But not exactly agree with explanation of some of the verses. I think it is about person who is stuck in the past, not being able to move on, possibly still in love with that other person. While the other person moved on and doesnt rly care bout what have been between them.Thus ''I am the last,the one who hold on the past,clinging on something we used to have'' ''I am the last,the one who chose this path,to walk among the world of shadows'' could mean that person wilingly inflict this pain on himself. Not wanting to forget and move on. "Always one for sorrow/Never one for love/Two souls destined to failure/Right from the start/Always one for sorrow/Never one for love/Two souls set for departure/Before the nightfall" Here i think he simply states the fact that not always things can work out between ppl. Sometimes they are just too different.Even if at start when feelings are strong with enough time passes the difference prevail and ruin everything. I agree with these two verses ''And here I stand,devoid of faith ,bereft of hope,unable to break the walls around me'' When a good relationship ends ,it is hard to have any hope towards the future or about starting other relationship. ''And here I stand,shell of a man from the past,condemned to world of resentment'' Again stating that this person dwells in the past. ''It took two to summon the thunder'' I think it means that relationship got to the breaking point (summon the thunder) and they both have some share of guilt in geting to that point.Usually its not only one person's fault. "one to bring down the rain" But eventho the relationship is on the breaking point there must be the one who ends it. "two to torn all asunder" Basicaly repeating the statement that it takes two ppl to ruin relationship. "one to suffer the pain" But its the one whos dumped by the other person who suffers more since the one whos leting the other person go usually dont have any feelings left for that other person thus he takes it easier. "two to crush dreams and wonders" Again the same thing.Shared responsibility of two ppl in destroying the vision they had in the relationship. "one to lose everything" Here i think its simply stating the fact that for the person who got dumped meant that relationship way more than for the person who did the dumping. So he lost everythig while the other peson walks free like nothing happened. "all once beautiful and sacred,nothing but in vain" Not quite sure what do i make of this one. Could simply mean that eventho they had some good times together in the end it went all to hell. |
