Someone sent this song to me in response to a letter I wrote to Andy. What I thought the song meant - some feelings can only be experienced and words are inadequate to explain them. But a breeze caressing you as you sleep are like kisses in a dream. It feels so real but it isn't true. All the lyrics speak of action that he never took. "If I was a sunset, I'd want to lay on your bed, And watch the Hollywood lights flicker as it started to dim. If I was a movie, you know I'd feel pretty good. I'd watch you dancing all night in the dark where I stood. " Except the singer isn't a sunset or a hollywood movie so he only thought of those things but didn't do them. I think the biggest regret is that he didn't let her know his true feelings and so instead of standing by his side, she is just a dream. She doesn't think about him because she doesn't really know him. |
