| I think this song is about the idealism of youth. The dreams we have as children don't typically come true. It is at times sung from the point of view of a child. The child's parents fight, then get a divorce. But even while the lawyer is there counting there possessions, the couple sems to still have feeling for each other. In the future they wonder if it was all a dream, because the feelings came and went. Further into the future they can remember, perhaps fondly, the love they used to own. | |
