I believe this song is about someone who is in a relationship with a girl who has problems surrounding her but she doesn't want to tell people. The lines "Maybe you have your reasons Maybe you're scared, you're feeling down Are you crying when there's no one around?" she has issues and problems bat she keeps to herself. She is "scared and feeling down" because she wants to stop but doesn't know how. She is "crying when there is no one around" she holds her feelings in around others but when she is by herself she lets it out. The lines "oh then maybe, maybe if you hold me baby Let me come over I would tell you secrets nobody knows I can not overstate it, I will be overjoyed" the guy wants to be able to be by her side and support her. He would love to tell her about what he has wrong to let her know she is not alone and he wants to do it because he would be "overjoyed" trying to help her feel better and help herself.
