I think that this song is about a trip Troye takes, maybe with his father. The way he says "boy" makes me think of how a father would talk to his son. "Just don't look them in the eyes, boy You just gotta take their lives, boy." This may refer to hunting, if it's his first time and the "boy" has issues with killing an animal. This is reinforced by the line, "Ridin' round town with our rifles in the front seat." |
