Great song. I feel like this song is about one of those moments just before one of those moments where you know that your demons are going to catch up with you and being ready for the good and bad that comes along with that... Come out angels Come out ghosts Come out darkness Bring everyone you know I'm not running And I'm not scared I am waiting and well prepared The 'war of life' is having a bunch of these demons who are constantly nipping at your back and facing them with the strength of having overcome them in the past... I got a pocket Got no pills If fear hasn't killed me yet Then nothing will This is a powerful song. I think what's important to keep in mind is that the song is called 'War of my Life' not 'Way of my Day' to really appreciate it. Among his best work in my opinion. |
