If you've ever been depressed and in love with someone, there's always that voice in the back of your mind that you'll never be good enough for this person and that you're unloveable. You always doubt whether or not that person really loves you and you honestly wouldn't blame them if they didn't love you because you don't even love yourself ("I can hardly stand myself so what am I to you?"). Towards the end of the song I think that he realizes that this person really does love him for who he is and whatever life throws at them, he's going to stick with her through the good and the bad and will always come home to her ("No matter what we're facing, it don't matter"). Again that's my interpretation I could be completely off but there it is. |
