The obvious answer is the eschaton in this plane of our current existence. "The Piper at the gates of dawn" is pull we all know we feel towards our Infinite Creator. Greater than Yahweh, greater than God... Love. "Brothers and their fathers joining hands that make a chain" refers to the interconnectedness of all this. "Every second is a new spark, sets the universe aflame" refers to the Divine Spark within all of us. "Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death Hello to eternity and live for every breath" - Death is an illusion. |

I always thought it had elements of a magical mushroom trip. "Laughing is easy." - Everybody who has done shrooms knows you take a vacation to gooftown. It's also an emotional song. Shrooms are a very emotional based psychedelic. "Countin and breathin" could refer to the difficulties you can have or think you have with breathing and time perception while tripping. "Cracks in the ceiling, crooked pictures in the hall"- These are two things you generally focus on during a trip. Also in the end it's very, very reminiscent of literature written down by people while tripping. It has repetitive phrases like "Live till you die," which doesn't seem very perceptive or introspective, but to someone tripping on shrooms it could be the secrets of the Universe. Just my two cents, and maybe it about breaking up with a girl you did wrong. Who knows, honestly it could be both. Tripping on shrooms+thinking about an ex girlfriend= a great song. |
