"Our favorite place we used to go The warm embrace that no one knows The loving look that's left your eyes That's why this comes as no, as no surprise" These lines hit the home run for me. The comfort that the dying relationship used to bring has clearly faded away. You know a relationship has run its course when you feel nothing even in the intimate moments you share only with your partner. The song doesn't need to explain what happened between the 2 lovers and what brought them to this point in their relationship, it just goes to explain what a typical guy goes through right before a breakup. Daughtry must have gone through a similar situation in his lifetime to be able to write such a beautiful song. I enjoy this song so much but I wish I never have to go through the same events in my life. It's a great sad song. |
