I met a girl, I lived in Tennessee & she lived in Canton,Ga. I would drive to see her & It was autumn of 2014. This was one of her Favorite songs. I cannot recall ever hearing it as a child. If I did I'm sure I would remember it. It could be said that this song is about Lost Love or even losing someone you Love..to me, Autumn or fall represents Depression or sadness. Anyway, the girl suffered from depression & it just couldn't last. Never let your life be filled with sadness & don't let others make you sad. |

This is really one of the Best songs ever written..me & a buddy of mine went to go see Sammy Hagar @ the Verizon wireless Amp in St. Louis,Mo July 19th 2014 it featured Michael Anthony on Bass-.Guitar & Jason Bonhiem on Drums. Dreams was the last song Sammy played..it was an Acoustic version & the concert was amazing. |

I think the Line, the nature of your tragedy, is chained around your neck, refers to guilt ..like an Albatross. It's as song about letting go of past or present mistakes. The lyric..climbing as we fall, refers to the fact that, to doesn't matter where you are in life. It only matters if your gong up or down. |
