To me: the song can be about somebody who has "freedom" (basic human rights,
In a firstworld country) , but doesn't have a grasp of true identity and direction. It's about an internal conflict, it seems. A self-dilemma. Uncertainty, perhaps ? Not knowing what to do , where to go , and how to do go about things. The possibilities are there, freedom is possessed, but in reality - the urge, the will, the overall ability is not fully harnessed to go out and get whatcha want. Get it ? Freedom is had, but not the drive or confidence to get it done ! |
