As this is used in happy feet 2 when the child (I haven't really seen the movie just the part with this in) is stood on a cliff being told 'no' by his father while all the mothers are below him, I think it is p!nk (the mother) telling the child (penguin) not to commit suicide. The lines 'when you think hope is lost' ; 'you can't give up the fight' ; 'you gotta be strong tonight' ; 'you're convinced that your all alone' they all make you think that the kid could be contemplating suicide and she is telling him not to. This would also make sense as when she 13 she was also contemplating suicide. |

I love this and it's about being insecure. She is saying she hates the way she looks and she wants to change and be someone else like she has given up on life or being her. At the moment this song relates to my cousin because she thinks she's fat and it's all because she went dancing, she has now been diagnosed with an eating disorder because she makes her self throw up. |

If you don't use the video has the reason for your answer then you will find that she actually says the song is about her friend who died at 15 from a drug overdose. Pinks parents divorced when she was a toddler so she had a pretty tough childhood then at the age of 9 she took up smoking. When she was 14 her friend got her caught up in drugs then pink walked in too her friends apartment after school .... To find her best friend dead on the floor with drug packets surrounding her. However if this is the reason of the song like she says then the only part I say that doesn't sum up is "that last kiss I'll cherish" |

@[whagerman:10259] there is a thing that says the truth of Peter Pan is actually that he is an angel and he holds kids hands on the way to heaven (never land) and all of the boys don't grow up because they are dead. Plus when you said suicide isn't the answer. Well out of they 500+ people who jumped of this bridge somewhere, 26 survived and they all said that as soon as their feet left the ground they regretted it straight away but knew there was no going back and now they live a happy life with that behind them |
