| Pretty obvious that this isn't specifically referring to any real war. It is taking elements from both World Wars, taking a very slight German perspective (talking about the Rhine River, which runs along the Franco-German border, a heavy German military area) and discussing an event where this essentially 'made-up' war becomes a public sensation through the use of propaganda. Very much like BOTH World Wars, but not enough specific information (mixed in with some random shit) to really be talking about either of them. | |
