@[Robert:9072] the Devil I didn't even know there was a different version than the one I first heard but I looked it up and the lyrics are much clearer, so thank you! I've spent so much time thinking about this song and the words and w hat it all means because I felt some sort of emotional pull like my heart understood but I didn't consciously know why... But hearing the lyrics on the other version really eased my mind and I'm pretty confident about what I think she's saying now. "and when you call I'll be your shield for life" is an absolutely beautiful line, imho and does make more sense |

@[rocktronical:9071] I agree that it's "Cane the wolf". Shepards have canes to fend off wolves, they "cane" them to shoo them away from the sheep they protect. So in this song she might be saying she's trying to shoo away some "wolf" in her life, probably a fear/worry/doubt or something along those lines. |
