@[FOH86:9032] Your analysis might make good sense...if the song were actually written about a flesh-and-blood woman or the rocker lifestyle. However, it is not. This song is about Mother Earth. Every single word applies to mankind's abuse of the Earth and the wrath we could incur if we don't respect her more. This band is notoriously deep - much deeper than most folks really appreciate. Seldom are their songs about the typical rock topics like women, sex, being on the road, etc. Go back and listen to the song and read their lyrics...and think a bit more deeply. Then listen again to the entire "One of These Nights" album. Hint: "Hollywood Waltz" isn't about dancing a three-step in Hollywood. |
