I think of it as the protagonist talking to the antagonist and about halfway into the first part it fades into flashback of when the antagonist first took control and their last fleeting regrets. The very last section is the present realization of their wrongs. |

I like this song a lot, but I don't hear breaking up with someone in it. I'm actually reminded of a certain character I like, who was an amazingly popular actor in the game but was convicted after a betrayal. This song reminds me that by the fifth game he's ten years older and that fact continues to surprise me. I don't know, I just hear this song in his voice. |
