This song reminds me deeply of Gantz: "Keepers of the night" and "Guard the gates of hell" to me is a reference to the nights they are called to battle demons and defend mankind. "No one to guide us": why they are called and how they should fight is all a mistery . The phrases "Mortal life is weak" and "Mortal life is brief" reminds me of the countless and gruesome deaths from the story of Gantz. |
