I also belive this song is about depression. If it isn't, it perfectly describes how someone suffering from depression feels. It's a our time of need. I had a very long period of depression, due to improper treatment and as a side effect of certain antiepileptic medicine. (As a fun fact, i have to share i do not have epilepsy at all.) So, we do know something is wrong, and we just have to do something to change. Feels like a raincloud following you all the time, whereever you go the cloud follows and you're allways vet and soaked. You do have to step out of the rain. Also, people don't understand the nature of depression, they only notice that you're sad, weak and drained, so instead of trying to help, they usualy just humiliate you, with yelling, "get a hold of yourself", or stop being so negative all the time, and such bullshit. They don't know, our will isn't enought at some point.We need a shoulder to cry on, and support. People just ran away from people suffering from depression, like it was concontagious, so they don't want you around, and no one wants you to stay, but just leave as soon as it's possible so they don't have to watch you being helpless and suffer. That causes suicidal toughts. When dark is fading, there's something good in life that inspires a depressed person to step up. But this is something, you won't be able to face alone, so you need someone to watch over you. Used to listen this song over and over to give me strength, to "Step out of the rain". Thank you Mikael. I made it, and now i can enjoy summer! |

i belive this song is about a person, who's about to commit suicide because of the loved one. He just found out how he didn't mean as much to his partner. Feels himself worthless, and he wants to punish the one who made him cut himself from the pain he felt. This line "Will I see my name in your scars" makes me think, he wants some kinda revenge, for being hurt and wants to harm the other one, and wants her to live with the guilt, that someone killed himself because of her mistreat. I think "And when the night comes down A father is waiting" can also mean it's a couple with a child. We will sustain means, You will not be able to forget me. Doubt any women could forget a guy who killed himself, because she has cheated on him. And also, if you do not end a relationship, but kill yourself you don't leave any option to break up with you, so... This person wants her to feel the pain he felt, because of her, he wants to leave scars. But yeah, that's just something i tought about when i listened this song, I love the outro, it's just amauing, best ringtone i ever had. |
