This song talks about pull and push in a man -woman relationship. I love this song as it has animalistic instinct which we have and video depicts it amazingly. She wants to be loved infact conquer it but another one goes to dust - basically nothing comes out of it. They thought they both were one but ofcourse they have differences and instead of co-operating they are fighting/competing with each other . And despite her heart really wanted this relationship, her head had been able to see so many red flags. She also talks about how she has trust issues. She talks about that how she isn't affected by breaking up and she pretends that way but she also talks about how she is still struggling to have peace. She once again pretends she has thick skin and elastic heart - so that means that she says to herself that it doesn't matter but it does and she is afraid that man in question might have qualities or charm which has penetrated to her heart. She talks about like she is very patient and you can pull her and test her for long but when you pull too hard. She would lose her patience and snap. Once she snaps she moves fast she isn't going to show you lots of emotions. Video suggests how this push and pull unpredictable relationship would just go on. |

It is a song about a past lovers trying to communicate their unfinished business. She starts with offering an opportunity to go over past miscommunication by meeting face to face. She realizes that no matter how much time passes her feelings for this man hasn't changed. Despite she thinks time would change things but it hasn't. She is also talking about times before they both were in California where they were young,free and innocent and before they were successful. They are very different and also million miles apart but bond they have is very strong and something seems to still attract them both together especially her as she feels she has done something wrong. She has hurt the man and in process even she is hurt so she asks him that she had made so many attempts to communicate with him but somehow they were unable to. However she is unsure whether it even matters to him now as he might have moved on. She asks him about town where they both are from, perhaps she had to leave it so that she can have better life however that is the price she had to pay to get it. She had to sacrifice their love and she has been trying to fix her past. |

They are afraid of themselves and do feel unworthy of each other love. But even if they would be falling from tower they both would be holding each other hand. Here falling can also be falling in love. They both reassure that when we both fall they would be right next to each other but they both need to know not only about each other but how they feel for each other. It ends with same question is whether they both would let each other know and see everything they has to know good bad and ugly so that they both know and still love each other. |
