Was thinking this might be talking about a relationship formed on a fake persona created by one side or the other. "waking up in someone else's life" - the life of a person who doesn't actually exist. "Even though this fragile world/is tearing apart at the seams" - maintaining a lie takes a lot of effort and likely the act won't be perfect. The whole "not gonna let this day go by" verse - throw away the false image and try being yourself. the "drowning in the mess I have made" part being that even if you do so, there are going to be repercussion, possibly overwhelming ones. |
