@[Saylor:28025] Yes but this song is narrative. There is a story beyond just a threesome

The song is about a guy who is trying to sleep with a bisexual girl.

The first verse he's trying to make advances on a girl, but she denies him saying that shes got a boyfriend. (I dont wanna hear you got a boyfriend/ sometimes youre better off alone) He tells her that if she ever changes her mind and decides she will have sex with him the offer will still be open (if you change your mind you know where I am) The biggest issue I see with other interpretations is that they think he is romantically interested in the girl or vise versa, but he makes it clear he wants nothing to do with her romantically (I dont wanna be your boyfriend.)
In the pre-chorus hes confused why he wants this girl so bad even though he doesnt want a relationship. (never did i think that i would be caught in the way your caught me). I think that the next line "push a little girl aside" in this case is referring to him possible putting his own girlfriend aside in pursuit of this specific one, though likely shares a meaning with how its used the second time he says it.
The chorus is obviously in reference to the girl in question's bisexuality
The second verse he mentions how shes trying to keep up her reputation (likely her reputation as heterosexual), though people are close to finding out about her secret girlfriend. He still expresses how he is confused by his obsession with this girl, but I think "push a little girl aside" is him telling the girl to forget about her girlfriend for a night and "give in" to her feelings towards the singer
in the bridge, he acknowledges how hes kind of the bad guy in this situation, pressuring a girl into cheating on her girlfriend to have sex with him (I'm just a villain vying for attention from a girl). "A girl who can't decide" is a girl who can't choose between male or female but a girl who can't decide if she wants to be loyal or sleep with this guy.
I think there is a slight implication that this girl actually does decide to have sex with him, possibly in a threesome involving her own girlfriend. I mostly say that because Brendan has said before that this song is about his first threesome if I remember but I think within the context of just the lyrical content there isn't a clear resolution but just the thought that the narrator is kind of a dick for pressuring this girl to sleep with him despite her being in a relationship.

@[spacegirl92:28024] I can't help but disagree with you. There is contextual evidence that clashes with this interpretation, namely "I don't wanna be your boyfriend" (why would a lesbian say that) also I think a threesome type situation is implied I don't see any real evidence supporting any polyamouris relationship or anything saying that she has a boyfriend. While certainly interesting and creative it clashes too much with the lyrical evidence
