The memory that the speaker recalls here is of writing a poem (likely a sonnet). You have to note that this song is partially about memory. "do the blueprints name the rooms alone? Do we name them on our own?" These lines provide a question, answered with "the spaces in the memories you make change the room from just blueprints To the place where you live."
