| Manic Street Preachers – You Stole The Sun From My Heart Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| For me this is a pro ana song. Especially that manics are the ones who wrote famous 4st 7lbs known well in pro ana world. The beggining ' drinking water to stay thin ' says it all. To specify, for me this is a song about someone who after recovery falls into eating disorders again and after all that happened before she/he loves Ana all the same even tho she stole the sun from his/her heart and made him unhapoy. ' You have broken through my armour ' explains that Ana can slide into someones life even if they created an armor like recovery etc. ' I paint the things I want to see but it dont come easy ' is about loosing weight and painting this skinny vision of ones self which is very hard. | |
| Slowdive – Alison Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| For me in my unsual interpretation I would like to state that this is pro ana related song. Or at least I like to interpretiate it this way. So for me alison is Anorexia often related by pro ana society members as an Ana . It shows a relation between sick person and Ana (alison). The world described - being high, stoned shows the feelings od hungry person. 'Ill be here in the morning' shows that Ana is always there from the beggining of the day. ' Your messed up world thrills me ' its about dieting and starving fascinating in some ways even tho its messed up. The part about sister, sister can be an representation od outter world and normal people who laugh and spin and are happy but Ana claims its a lie and she is not happy - only suferer of illnes can be. And the last part about Alison ' we are sinking ' we are both high ' shows that Ana and sick person have intergrated and unseparatable. and this constant 'im lost' which describes it all.. | |

| Massive Attack – Dissolved Girl Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| @[Epiphany2000:8986] I have very similar view on this song. For me it's more about relationship which ends and turn into friendship but one side ( in this song its the girl who sings ) can't leave, can't get over it and still wants the attention the other person gives her so called ' love ' | |

For me it's a breakup song. The lyrics remind me of my situation. Being left, but love someone too much to let him totally go. Being left, but still wanting more. Still pretending it didn't happen. Being left, but realizing this person was your 'saviour' and now you're slowly come back to old, bad habits. Shame, such a shame I think I kind of lost myself again Day, yesterday Really should be leaving but I stay This remind me of my feelings in that moment he left.. Feeling shameful, embarrassed, feeling lost. Loosing the one that provided me with security. I know that for my own good it would be better to leave, move on and let go. But I accepted the offer of friendship and stay. Say, say my name I need a little love to ease the pain I need a little love to ease the pain This reminds of him repeating my name many times when I was trying not to let him go. But now I'm not afraid of this seriousness as long as he talks. No matter what. Because I need at least little love, attention to be okay. 'Cause it feels like I've been I've been here before You are not my savior But I still don't go This is about being back to the point when you feel totally lost. Just like before you met the person you feel sad and lost and empty. You know that this person can't help you anymore, isn't your saviour but you still subconsiously try to stick with them. Feels like something That I've done before I could fake it But I still want more This reminds me of the fact that nobody ever broke up with me. I was the only who caused this pain to other people and never realized how hurtful it can be. The last two verses remind me of the main reason he left. That I want more and more and he can't do more. And now I fake it, I hide it to keep this friendship but I just want more and more. Fade, made to fade Passion's overrated anyway This is about one important point , it was a long distance relatioship and from beggining we knew it will fade.. But decided to try thinking physical presence this '(physical) passion ' doesn't play a starring role when it comes to us. We wanted something different, romantic not overrated. |

| Why? – Gemini (Birthday Song) Lyrics | 10 years ago |

For me it's a song about meeting someone, exposing ourselfes to them while we are young and are not really interested in serious relationship or otherwise - we think we met someone and want to marry them right away despite everything. We learn all the tiny details about their lifes but yet there is no point in starting relationship, since it wouldn't work out or we just don't plan our future together. We know everything will change but yet we try. Or we know everything will change - and we don't want it to. This song is a mix of the feeling one has towards his beloved one. Part of him sees it as something magical and special and poetic ' I painted your nails, you sleep, while I write all of this down ' yet he mentions that there is a whole life ahead of them and everything will change quickly. Also we see she wasn't so serious about it as he seems. 'on a mattress in your parents' old room ' this line give this relationship sound of innocence, because when we are young we are most likely to fall in love and do silly stuff in our parents bedroom. We aren't on our own yet. Here goes ' and you will moveonto other rooms ' which shows that the other person is young, she will have a new life, everything will change, she will be just moving out and changing places, having fun. ' Then I wept with my face in your night shirt, trying hard as hell to say "until death separates us," ' this might relate to the seriousness that young people put into their relationship, making dramas and promising they will stay with each other forever but yet again he knew it wouldnt work so he TRIES to say it but he lacks this certainity. 'Will you still remember me well' again - will you remember me ? even if you meet the other people will i still be in your heart ? 'When we're on different sides of the globe I thought we'd keep our veins tangled' he thought that they would still have the connection even if they are torn apart from each other. It felt as something special in his heart. 'But don't regret the done dirt, there is no life plan set,' he tries to calm himself down, excusing his behaviour and his feelings giving them this ' whatever ' sort of meaning. And there goes rememembering. She actually meant something in his life even if she isnt present. 'Today I fell asleep in a bath of hair. Hair that once sprouted from my own' - he is getting older. 'Bathed, shaved, and oiled, your legs are two skinny dolphins swimming between the mattress and the layers of bedding' - he plays those sceneries in his head, rememebering only good things. But then he remembers the bad things 'When I ask you to kiss my pulse you offer to start the shower. I want a verb and you give me a noun. What do you dream up while I tongue you down?' which clearly shows that she wasnt involved in this relationship, she wasnt giving him enough attention and they were dissaggreeing with each other often. Yet again it might be that he was looking for something serious, poetic ' kiss my pulse ' but she wasnt taking it serious she was thinking about random things while he was tonguing her down. 'You know my build. You know my size. The degree to which my eyes are astigmatic.' she knew everything about him. Even those tiny details. Yet she didnt care. |

For me this song is about struggles with long distance relationship. It describes all the feelings the one has when his love isn't physically present in his life. It also can be a song that describes the end of such relationship. ' Anywhere you are, my love Let me comfort you ' this describes the devotion that one has to make someone happy. 'No room for doubt, so just stubbornly keep on But for how long?' this describes the feelings between two people which are away from each other but they try to make it work they ' stubbornly keep on ' but they don't know for ' how long ' they can do it. 'Words that appeased you Words were always, dressed up to please you Promising "someday" " they were thinking about future together and making plans but only to make each other happy, inside they knew it wouldnt work out. Because they both know they are " kidding ourselves" "Trick me to thinking, that you could be all mine " he says 'trick me' so he knows it's not possible for her to be all his because of distance. 'All the time, the way you are alone The way you hold it all' he is impressed how she is trying but he 'tried and still it's not enough ' it wasn't enough, probably one side didnt work hard enough for it to work out. |
