A Perfect Circle – The Outsider Lyrics 10 years ago
@[Machineunit:7944] I agree with daretoboggie I think u nailed it just that this is the actually addicts point of view of what others in their life as well as they're other half believe and are thinking. One of the main reasons is when it says pull the trigger far away from here that to me sounds like a personal/internal thought process not a friend or loved one of the addict but more how the addict gets an excuse to use and just leaves the family and friends all together to ultimately die

A Perfect Circle – Gravity Lyrics 10 years ago
@[Prog_Rocker:7943] I completely agree and the not knowing how to walk is much more than just rehab it's the everyday life of not going back to the drug when "life" happens everyday. And I like your twist on it I thought that of maybe it's too late and he's just accepting the gravity of how far he has taken it and that even tho he says I choose to live it is a subtle fade out of maybe that choice is now gone. Even tho I think it's a little far stretched I like the idea of the twist.

A Perfect Circle – Vanishing Lyrics 10 years ago
I felt like it was about death a loved one vanishing higher into thin air or more so there "center" leaving this world (or soul) I see the drug references but feel like it's much more a statement of loosing someone that once gone is only a memory or a thought.

A Perfect Circle – Judith Lyrics 10 years ago
Ok I back Maynard on lretty much all of the philosophical questions that he encourages us to ask our selves and I also get that he is mad about what happened to his mother and the back lash it must have cause him with his step father but this is one song I feel contradicts most of other tool songs where he is blaming and hating God or Jesus for something that is human by nature. It's very easy to blame God for anything negative or bad in life because like Maynard said in the song "the grudge" you will bear it as a crown as a reason why you should be mad when others can see that it is not the case and in the end will only kill and cause the holder of this grudge to be lonely and spiteful. I completely understand venting anger but thought that should be put out there for the APC or Tool fans. Especially anyone who quite literally idolizes Maynard. Like I said he is only another human or person like all of us and this was a way to vent his anger of what he could not control again as referenced in the grudge. Arguments please comment I would love to respectfully entertain other points of view.

Tool – Right in Two Lyrics 10 years ago
@[heartagramheat:7939] I love it man you hit this right on the head. And no doubt that maynar is always going to be talking about something deeper than the face value of the lyrics but it's a song that quite literally describes how we as humans have made the worst possible mess of the gifts we have been given and that our greed has caused us all to forget that each other are all that matters and so instead of valuing eachother we kill each other based on the confusion of what was important from the start which is that we had each other and everything that we needed Adam and Eve and the garden but again thought that through human "reasoning" we would be better off taking what we want and not having regard for one another Cain and able.
