| She's talking about an unrequited love, the person she is in love with (we will call this person C) doesn't feel the same way. No matter what she does to try and win C over, he just doesn't feel the same way, hence "how come you never go there" you can tell this isn't a lost love because she says, " how come you NEVER go there," not why won't you ever go there — you can see that C never felt that way, and she's talking about the struggle to move past that.
