Although I believe this song is beyond romance, I also believe this song can be interpreted and implemented into any situation which brings you doubt, subsequent to loss and/or grief. |

"I'll see you on the dark side of the moon"
I simply interpret this line to be based around death. We associate the actual dark side of the moon with mystery, alongside the ideology of the afterlife. This line is basically saying "I don't know where, but I'll see you someday". |

| Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics

The song focuses on the feeling of the numbness that become comfortable hence the title 'Comfortably Numb'. It refers to the emotional state he is currently at in the album, he has developed from feeling lonely and in pain to a simple state of numb with a blurry wall dividing him from the rest of the world.
The song is about a real life occurrence of which Roger Waters (lead member of Pink Floyd) endured. He was ready to perform at a concert in 1977 in Philadelphia and fell quite severely sick prior. A doctor injected him with a tranquilliser to enable him to go ahead with the show. These tranquillisers made him 'comfortably numb' giving him the title for the song 'Comfortably Numb'. |

| Roger Waters – Perfect Sense, Part II Lyrics

The second part is focusing on propaganda used by the media to persuade people to do what goes against human logic. It's saying how these days to value something within terms of money makes sense and to value something in terms of love and loyalty makes no sense. The football-like scenario that can be heard within the song is a metaphor of how war is glamorised by the media and is leading people to support it like they would a football game. |

This song takes us to the start of our path of destruction, how our ancestors were led on this path. The monkey is symbolising humanity and is sitting refusing to learn from his mistakes. The monkey uses religion to justify is actions. The song points out the futility of one's actions. |

Liverpool is where they thought they belonged as it was a much cooler place to be as a band more than the Manchester scene. Hence the line 'River cool's where I belong'. The song talks about a river before mentioning 'river cool' to hide up it's much more in-depth meaning? Maybe I'm wrong. |

| The Stone Roses – Sally Cinnamon Lyrics

I think it's a boy who tries to impress a girl, despite his fears. He's popping and blowing bubble gum to act cool. The 'letter' he 'finds' is a metaphor for how he misinterpreted the vibes he was receiving from the girl. After realising she must have a boyfriend, he respectfully stops trying to impress. The song finishes with the boy's regret and congratulations to the boyfriend who is so incredibly lucky to have Sally Cinnamon, the girl sent from heaven. |
