| To me, this song is about the acceptance phase of a broken relationship. There's something so powerful about the line "If I want to leave I will, stand on my feet, I do". This is the person saying that he/she is done putting up with feeling broken and going back and fourth in the relationship. This goes along with the phrase "Never going to chase something, it's a total waste running". They also use the phrase "Only takes these words, you never believe are true" which represents the singer trying to convince the other person they love them, but the other person doesn't believe them; therefor they are no longer trying to win them back. | |
