To me this sounds like the answer to the earlier SVIIB song ILU - which begins with "There's so many things I wish I knew how to say, in a way that you'd understand, but I can't." Well, after a couple of years' thought on the matter (this song was written in 2012), Alejandra has now been able to articulate all those things that she wanted to say to Ben, but couldn't get the words out at the time. Interestingly within the song, the person that Ali refers to as "she" and the person that she refers to as "I" appear to be the same - both aspects of herself, but with the one referred to as "she" being the ex-lover and the one referred to as "I" being the current friend. |
