I heard this on the radio recently and had tears in my eyes. I thought of how things "used to be" when the world wasn't full of fast food, bright lights, in-your-face advertising, and the twenty-four news cycle. People used to be so much simpler before the mess we're in now. I thought of my grandparents, how broke they were when they died because all the things the corporations do to us through alcohol and drugs. |

when i put this song on i can see my life laid out. everything that has ever happened, the good, the bad....its all vivid and right in front of me. i can see all my mistakes, all my accomplishments and the people that shared them with me. a feeling washes over me that everything will be ok, that i will be ok. and everyone i've ever hurt will forgive me. most of all, i think of the moments i've felt truly alive and smile knowing that no one can ever take them away from me. |
