The Human League – Circus of Death Lyrics 10 years ago
Fu Manchu/Nayland Smith.

Wo Fat/MacGarrett.

Early electronica wasn't beyond styling creepy for its own sake. --Hear Rickey's Hand, Down in the Park.

My opinion, this soundtrack is just a cool romp through global menace/dream of doom territory.

Bruce Springsteen – Girls In Their Summer Clothes Lyrics 10 years ago
As much as I do appreciate some of the comments coming out of the interpretation that this song is from the P.O.V of an old guy whose life is passed, I think that interpretation is wrong.

I think it's very simply – as others here have pointed – about a normal guy, aged 21-50, say, who is between good things in his life. The friendly and solicitous Shaniqua isn't unattainable because she's young enough to be his daughter. She's unattainable because she has a BF or husband. She reminds the narrator of what his life lacks now.

"Love's a fool's dance
I ain't got much sense but I still got my feet"

Springsteen is poet enough not to sign off the song with this line if the song was really about a man dealing with being past love for all time.
