| I think the song means two people who are in a relationship but one person keeps hurting the other. And even tho that person keeps taking from the other, the other doesn't care bc they have what they want and that is them. But as the course says "but are we but are we drowning butterflies? forever swimming in circles; but are we but are we drowning butterflies? forever swimming in a line" which means to me is the other person going to allow this? the back and forth, the cycle or circle? at the end he sings "but are we, but are we drowning butterflies? forever swimming in our life" which to me either says he is going to live for this forever until he dies or are we just like everyone else. | |
