I'm seeing some pretty major errors in the lyrics posted.. "close enough close enough and I'm feeling tired" is "closer now, closer now, feeding time" .. "dantly" which isn't even a real word, is "Darlin' " (darling) (pronounced more like dah'lin'" "In this scaring demised time cries and grabs for reality" is "In this scary demise, time cries, and I grab for reality." "having co touch comforts me as a greeting in dead and despair" is "And a cold touch comforts me, as I breath the madness in." "sinking down sinking down slipping my conscious knows hasn't into the pride" is a little iffy, but it sounds more like, "Sinking down, Sinking down.. slip my conscious, tunes out and turns into the pride." (Like I said, not 100% sure on that one, but it makes more sense anyway) "close and I'm close and I'm feeling tired" is pretty obviously, "Colder now, Colder now, Feeding Time!" The song is obviously about being turned into a vampire. |

| Satyricon – K.I.N.G. Lyrics | 6 years ago |
| Though I'm sure it primarily speaking of the scandinavian pre-christiajn pagan religions and all the awesome shit found in those old beliefs, I like think it speaks of not only the well known old beliefs like Norse Aesir and Jotnar and the Greek Olympians and Titans, but also the lesser known and nearly forgotten pantheons, like the Tuatha de Danaan and Formorians of ancient Irish lore.. I think people beginning to see documentaries and such that open people's eyes up to the beliefs their people had before christianity was forced on the at the tip of sword.. They find that they feel a deeper connection to these old stories of powerful champions, chosen by the god, to end the threat of whatever eldritch horrors are are laying waste their people.. It is a connection they never felt when reading the bible.. because that book was stories of someone else's land far away.. I don't know if the song is alluding to it or not, but it always seemed like it was artistically speaking of how sometime in the future, people cast off the christian religion and return to the beliefs and practices of their first ancestors. | |

| The meaning of the song so obvious that people are trying to find some hidden meaning other than the meaning that is staring right at them. It s about being under a voodoo doll curse.. that's it.. nothing more.. no drug addiction symbolism.. no higher religious symbolism.. It's about someone in a state of living hell because someone has a little doll of him and is sticking pins and needles into it.. Seriously, sometimes a apple is just and apple.. LOL | |
