| Gilbert O'Sullivan – Alone Again (naturally) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| It's interesting to me that this song was written by 2/3rds of the Bee Gees. Its also surprising to me that a lot of people think this is a Paul McCartney or Lennon song. | |
| Don Henley – The Heart of the Matter Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
"What are those voices outside love's open door Make us throw off our contentment And beg for something more?" And "Ah, the trust and self-assurance that lead to happiness They're the very things we kill, I guess" These lines are lyrical gold. As someone who has gone through a divorce due to my wife's infidelity, I can identify with these lines. Even after all these years later, and another marriage, these lines still cut right to the bone, Its a scar that never completely heals. |

| Shinedown – Through The Ghost Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I always thought of this as a guy who sees his former love after she has been ravaged by drug abuse. She is a ghost of what she one was, and even though she looks similar to the girl he once knew, there is nothing left of the person he once loved. | |

I always thought that this song was about a guy who sees his ex. She has descended into a life of drugs, and she's a ghost of what she once was. She has withdrawn from all of her friends and family because of her addiction, and she has hidden away in the shadowy world of abuse. The world will never know her, because the drugs have taken such a toll on her that she will never be that vibrant person he once knew. |
